Jack and I got out for a quick hunt last night. He had to be home at a reasonable hour for school the next day. We had some pizza, had a listen and picked out some big males to target just on dark. We did see a few birds but their calls this time of the year give them away. Of course the birds were in challenging spots so some longer shots were required. Two big peacocks flew away with bullets but we got two massive males. Before we knew it, it was time to go even though we could see two more mobs of birds roosting. Next time...
