Young Jack was so exhausted from the night before and the hunting all day that he fell asleep and did not make it out with us. Turns out he picked up a nasty bug while in the states and has been crook ever since. I hope we do not catch it.
Blair, Shane and I went to Karl's, across the road from Jarram's. We found some birds but some were flighty. We went all the way to the top to check the kanukas but did not find a thing. It was impressive not to find a single possum on Karl's. I say so because just across the road there are plenty of them. In fact, the area holds a lot of possums in general.
So after that we went to Jarram's to see if we could find any more sambar. It did not take long to pick up two more hinds. We were pretty tired after that.
So the next day we processed the birds then loaded up the sambar and away we went. It was another busy few nights and days for me.
We stopped and had a nice lunch on the way home. The mountains were stunning along the Desert Road.
