A Bit of Stray Lining for Snapper

Yeah what the heck. We do a lot of ocean fishing here in the Bay of Plenty so I thought I might share. Steve and I headed out to Hawai stray lining for snapper in about 20 m. The week before Steve nailed it so thought it would be easy. Turns out it was pretty slow and we only landed four big snapper.

Steve's mate, Ash, was doing well at Opape in about 30 m. We headed to their spot as they were leaving. It took a while but we wound up with our 14 snapper after about 10 hours of hard work. 10 of the 14 were on the bigger side so it was a successful day, not to mention beautiful.
